5 Easy Steps to Stop Procrastinating


You have a project or essay due in two days, you have a test tomorrow and you should be studying but instead, you are doing other things that you should not be doing. This guide will teach you how to stop wasting your time and get the most out of it.


1. Begin Early.

If you have a test in 10 days you should not leave all the things you have to know for the test on the day before the test. If you only study one day before the test you will probably fail because you'll be anxious and not so ready.Start studying or working 10 days before.




2. Small Bite-Sized Jobs.
If you have a big project to be done, make sure to cut it into small bite-sized pieces so you'll have more energy to get those things done This will also give you the motivation to get more things done because you'll feel like there is less to do. Don't just sit for 5-6 hours to get everything done at once.




3. Get Rid of Distractions.
You probably have this problem too, you are ready to get work done and then you get a message so you open it and reply and you end up being on your phone for the next 2 hours. Tell your friends and family that you are going to study or get work done and turn off your devices and put them in a box until you're done.




4. Get Food.

Eating food or drinking something while doing work will help you focus more on what you're doing. Get something to eat and don't forget to stay hydrated while working or studying.




5. Don't be Foolish.
If you think that all the work will be done in 1 day you are probably lying to yourself. It happens to me all the time! I have a 5-page essay and I feel like it can be done in just a few hours.This is not true. Start doing what you have to do now.
